Description
This seminar explored participatory urban design methods, tactics and tools related to retrofitting the built environment for climate and flood resilience. It began with a very brief introduction to the history and theory of participatory design practices related to spatial design and the built environment, before discussing general design approaches related to retrofitting the built environment for flood resilience. Finally, it presented a series of examples of contemporary, novel, and promising participatory urban design practices that have been developed for retrofitting places, communities and homes that are vulnerable to flooding.Period | 27 Mar 2023 |
