Seminar organised as part of online international series on Race and Policing in the Americas, hosted by the Centre for the Americas and The Senator George J. Mitchell Institute for Global Peace, Security and Justice at Queen’s University Belfast in conjunction with the Cultures of War research group at New York University. Speakers: Christen Smith (University of Texas at Austin), Natasha Neri (journalist, filmmaker and researcher in the areas of criminal justice and human rights), Pedro Paulo da Silva (Centre for Security and Citizenship Studies - CESeC). The series also included an online screening of Brazilian documentary film Auto de Resistência, directed by Natasha Neri and Lula Carvalho.
