Description
In recent years Garrett Carr's place of work has been Ireland's border, and it is a stimulating place to think about belonging. In this plenary Garrett will discuss what he found along the border and how he went about representing it in maps and writing. He will also discuss some of the border's new meanings as Brexit approaches.Garrett Carr is the author of The Rule of the Land: Walking Ireland's Border. It was shortlisted for the Stanford Dolman Travel Book of the Year Award and abridged as Book of the Week by BBC Radio 4.
