Description

This workshop focuses on creating inclusive and accessible education within health sciences. It aims to emphasise the social model of disability, advocating for the removal of societal barriers to foster equity. Participants will learn to define inclusive education, anticipate challenges, and use resources and teaching to enhance teaching and assessment. Through the use of interactive activities and case studies, we aim to highlight real-world barriers faced by individuals with disabilities, encouraging participants to devise practical solutions. The workshop promotes systemic changes, embedding inclusivity in recruitment, design and daily practices. The workshop aims to challenge attitudes and ensure equitable learning for all, advancing diversity and inclusion goals.
