Programme Partner and Workshop Co-ordinator for Fusion Programme

Activity: Consultancy typesContribution to the work of national or international committees and working groups

Description

I was the sole academic programme partner in this funded collaborative project, run between the School of History and Anthropology and the community-organisation Springboard Opportunities Limited between August 2015 and March 2016. The programme was funded by the NI Executive (£212,000)

As part of this programme, I designed a series of world-music training workshops and hired ethnomusicologists who provided musical tuition alongside me. The programme recruited twenty-four young male and female participants from republican and loyalist communities who jointly practiced music, traveled, and received professional training, while reflecting about their mutual histories.
