Newry City Library is hosting ‘Easter 1916: History and Memory', a talk by Dr. Fearghal McGarry on Thursday 2 March at 6:30pm.
This talk will provide an overview of the Easter Rising and will consider the reasons for the rebellion, its impact and consequences, within the broader context of that revolutionary decade. During the talk, Dr McGarry will discuss recent research and the availability of new sources that have added to our understanding of the Rising.
