Council’s new Decade of Anniversaries

A new series of talks marking a decade of anniversaries will commence later this month as part of Mid Ulster District Council’s programme of commemorative events. The programme, entitled ‘Remembering the Future’ consists of six talks being delivered across the district culminating in a final panel debate.
‘The second talk, ‘Commemorating The Decade of Centenaries Challenges and Opportunities’ will take place on Tuesday, April 4 at 7.30pm at Ranfurly House, Dungannon. The lecture will be delivered by Fearghal McGarry.
Speaking about the series of talks, Chair of Mid Ulster District Council, Councillor Trevor Wilson, said: “This latest series of informative talks will enlighten and engage all communities. The talks will explore the historical element in a manner that allows for open debate and shared understanding of the period and the political geography of the world at this time.” The programme is funded by The Executive Office under its District Council Good Relations Programme.
