This project was part-funded by Caterpillar and contributed to educational research at QUB. As females are typically under-represented in STEM careers, efforts have been made at focusing on school-aged young females and encouraging STEM career paths. This element of the project provided a 6 week light-touch programming course in Android to pre-GCSE females. I was responsible for the delivery of the course to two schools engaged in the project, with up to 25 participants.
