I was the Staff Forum representative on the Appraisal and Career Pathways Working Group which is chaired by, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Internationalisation and Engagement.
The objectives of the working group were to:
- Define academic career pathways and develop a structure which incorporates career pathways and the criteria required to be successful.
- Review existing Academic Standards and Profiles, creating one set of criteria, which is easy to understand and flexible so that the university can recognise and reward all elements of an academic activity - teaching, research, administration, leadership and external engagement and impact.
The recommendations made by the working group were accepted by the University Executive Board (UEB)
