Description

Organized the workshop 'Queer Feminist Questions and Practices for working with the Digital Archives of the Colombian Truth Commission' in affiliation with the Legacy Project. This workshop will focus on queer feminist questions about not only what is in the Digital Archives of Colombian Truth Commission, but also how we as researchers engage with
them. Questions to consider include:
• How do we work with these archives in a way that is collaborative with those still seeking truth in Colombia?
• How can the archives be treated as living, rather than static, to avoid simply becoming a resource in ways that may be binary, colonial and extractive?
• What are some of the most important pressing queer and feminist questions on the minds of civil society across Colombia that researchers might keep in mind when working with and teaching the archives?
This workshop will provide an opportunity to explore these ethical questions alongside practical questions about next steps for The Legacy Project informed by and with Colombians
living with the outcome of the documents at hand.
