Description
Raquel McKee is a mother, wife, teacher, poet, singer-songwriter, dramatist, novelist and storyteller. Raquel’s passion for life and her love of people spill out in her Jamaican dub poetry, which she has performed at Stormont, Derry/Londonderry, The Mac and Belfast City Hall. She participated in a public performance and discussion with Nandi Jola reflecting on her work, the development of her practice and her experiences as artists. She explored the place of performance writers in the field of artistic practice and public policies for the arts and discuss the challenges and opportunities facing these seemingly solitary artists in developing their work.
