RCN Nursing in Justice and Forensic Forum National Series: Trauma Informed Care in Secure Environments

Royal College of Nursing professional learning event series titled Trauma-informed Practice in Justice Nursing: Creating Compassionate Cultures, delivered across Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and England between February 2024 and December 2024. The programme involved five regional events (Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England (x2) designed to strengthen trauma-informed care capability among nurses working in forensic and justice settings and directly informed the strategic direction of the RCN Justice and Forensic Nursing Forum. Responsibilities included co-facilitating events, leading professional engagement, supporting multidisciplinary collaboration, and contributing to the development of national professional learning resources and strategic planning. The programme engaged up to 400 practitioners across the UK and supported the development of professional guidance and educational resources.
