Description

A one-day workshop that:

highlighted the scholarly work already done and in progress on a forgotten aspect of Ireland’s social history: the presence on the island, over several centuries, of African-descended people as residents and visitors.

considered the digitization of the database created by Dr. Bill Hart, retired from the University of Ulster on Black people who were recorded in Ireland from the 17th to 20th centuries.

planned a future conference.
