Description

I organised a visit of the Directors of the Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences (Cambridge) and the International Centre for Mathematical Sciences (Edinburgh) to the Queen's University Belfast. The purpose of this visit was to facilitate the integration of the Mathematical Sciences Research Centre (MSRC) into the landscape of the national mathematics community at a high level. The meeting was highly informative, and one of the immediate outcomes was the agreement to lodge two imminent applications for funding by members of MSRC to these institutions.
