This talk for the Rose Society of Northern Ireland outlined the history of intellectual property protections for roses, with a focus on how rose breeders from (Northern) Ireland have protected their new varieties over the last 100 years. The presentation also outlined the plans for the Future Leaders Fellowship research project, and its relevance to members of the Society.
