Description

Invited by the professional body , The Royal Society of Ulster Architects, to join this peer review group of three architects and one lay assessor - to short list and visit projects submitted for the 2019 Royal Institute of British Architects Awards for Architecture, and to collectively decide on recipients of Awrads, recommendations for National Awards and special category awards (Incl. sustainability, conservation, project architect) and the Liam McCormick Award for best overall project. Other judges incuded : Neil Gillespie OBE, partner of Rieach & Hall, Glasgow, Liam Tuite, DIrector Kavanagh Tuite Architects Dublin (RIAI representative) and Suzanne Lyle, Head of Visual Arts, Arts Council for Northern Ireland. The Awards were announced at a black tie formal event at the Ulster Museum and Alan was invited to announce the recipient of the Liam McCormick Award for best overall project.
