Description

The Rural Health Committee hosted an event for rural school children in the KN Cheung SK Chin intersim centre. The children learned about vital first aid and first responder skills in an interactive farming context.

The event was facilitated in collaboration with The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural affairs (DAERA), Young Farmers Clubs of Ulster (YFC) and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). Learning included topics such as preventative farm safety, first aid, basic life support, choking, handwashing and making an emergency phone call.
