Description

Awarded in recognition of my instrumental role in the integration of a package of digital technologies in the Physiology Practical Class setting and developing a Widening Participation programme for SDBMS. I developed and tailored online and in lab packages which allows students to formatively test their understanding during classes. The package delivers videos and background materials in an accessible format to support a deeper understanding of the science behind bodily mechanisms and made it possible for our practical teaching to continue during the COVID pandemic.
In order to widen access for entry to QUB for all student regardless of socioeconomic backgrounds I developed a school wide programme of activities which support student personal growth and reflection, provides insight into careers and university life, builds communication and teamworking skills, while also providing a means by which students can earn a grade reduction for entry to MDBS degree programmes.
