Description
In 2018 I was elected President of this international scholarly body for the promotion of interdisciplinary research and scholarship on nineteenth-century Ireland. Established in 1994, it now has over 100 members worldwide. It runs an annual conference held alternately in Ireland, GB and Europe, an Annual Public Lecture held in the National Library in Dublin, and events aimed at History teachers and students. It also publishes a series of edited volumes with Liverpool University Press.
