Speaker at the Racial Equality Week Event (4th Feb 2025) and Co-organiser for Eid Celebration (31th March 2025)

i shared my achievements in advancing racial equality and my contribution on fostering a more inclusive environment.

It was brilliant to hear from you about the fantastic work you are leading on racial equity, to share your insights in support of inclusion at Queen’s more broadly. Professor Peter Robertson (Associate Pro-vice chancellor of EDI) was really delighted to have learned more about all the good work.

As the Racial Equality Champion and the iRISE secretary, I invited staff and students together with the One Elmwood Student Experience Team and the Staff Diversity and Inclusion Team to celebrate the joyous occasion of Eid al-Fitr by bringing together diverse members of the community in a festive and inclusive gathering (31 March 2025) 4.00pm-6.30pm in the Cube.  I started the event by a talk about Ramadan and the significance of Eid Al-Fitr.
