Description
Super Vivere Exhibition in Belfast City Hospital Foyer: March 2013 Third Year Pupils from Methodist College Belfast visited the Super Vivere Exhibition of photographs of 90 year old brothers and sisters who are participants in the European funded study called the Genetics of Healthy Ageing (GeHA). The pupils viewed the exhibition and then did a workshop about what factors they thought might contribute to their own healthy ageing. Students also considered how many family member they knew who had reached the age of 90 years, and whether they were male or female and the role of genes. Dr Rea took then took them through factors that seemed to contribute to people living so long-healthy eating, fitness, positive attitudes etc. Final Year Methodist College students also visited on a later date to reflect on the healthy ageing issues. There were also some very interesting insights from the students who produced single line reflections on the themes of 'I am', 'I hope', 'I dream' as a result of their consideration of their own ageing and the Super Vivere Exhibition.Period | 13 Mar 2013 |
