Join us at Queen’s University Belfast for an engaging workshop-style training event designed specifically for those working in care home settings. Timed just before World Diabetes Day, this interactive session will help you enhance your confidence and skills in supporting residents living with diabetes.

Whether you’re a registered nurse, care assistant, or part of a care home management team, you’ll gain practical education about:

The foundations of diabetes – understanding types and risk factors
Screening and diagnosis in older adults
Management and monitoring in care home settings
Recognising and preventing complications
The psychosocial impact of diabetes on residents
The value of interprofessional collaboration in effective diabetes care
This isn’t a conference — it’s a hands-on workshop, with round-table discussions, interactive breakout sessions, and opportunities to share experiences and best practices with colleagues across the sector.

Enjoy tea, coffee, and scones on arrival, and a complimentary lunch provided on site.

Places are free but limited, and available on a first-come, first-served basis — early registration is advised!
