Description

Sustainable Innovation for Nurses and Midwives is a Burdett Trust funded programme by the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare. It is designed to equip nurses and midwives with foundational knowledge and practical skills to lead sustainability-focused quality improvement in healthcare. Delivered through blended learning (self-paced online modules, a live interactive workshop, and ongoing mentoring), the course explores the links between climate change, health inequalities, and healthcare delivery, and supports participants to develop a workplace sustainability project using the Sustainable Quality Improvement (SusQI) methodology. The programme emphasises evidence-informed practice, real-world application, and professional collaboration, and contributes to building capacity for environmentally and socially sustainable healthcare practice.
