Conference paper, 'History on film: the historian's perspective'. Organised by the Nerve Centre and the British Council, the Teaching Divided Histories conference will explore: the creative use of a structured digital approach to conflict education as a tool to inspire positive attitudinal change; the role of culture, creativity and curriculum in how schools based education can help conflicted societies to address the past; the use of creative media to engage our young people in examining and learning from our divided histories. This year’s conference will have a specific focus on film and the Moving Image and will feature conversations and presentations from internationally acclaimed filmmakers including: Mariane Pearl, Writer of ‘A Mighty Heart’; Olly Lambert, Journalist and Documentary Maker (‘Syria: Across the Lines’); Andrew Eaton, Producer of ‘In This World’.Period | 19 Nov 2013 |
