Description

This session focused on effective use of Microsoft Teams for online teaching, collaboration, and communication. Facilitated by Dr Matt Birch, it addressed the rapid expansion of Teams as a core learning and teaching platform during the pandemic.

This session formed part of the QUBSONM Summer Digital Education Training Programme 2021, a coordinated series of professional development activities supporting staff capability building in digital education.

Staff were guided through practical strategies for managing meetings, supporting interaction, and facilitating group-based learning. The session encouraged participants to move beyond basic video conferencing and adopt Teams as a structured learning environment.

The workshop aligned with Strategy 2030’s Technology enabler, strengthening staff digital capability and supporting SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) and SDG 4 through resilient digital teaching practices
