The IWC Welfare Assessment tool is being developed and might be applied to the UK situation. This tool is developed with workshop attendee's expert input to help guide policy. Another workshop aim was to produce a scientific statement in pursuit of robust consideration of marine mammal welfare in legal and policy management systems.
