Description

This symposium is being supported by the UK Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT). The symposium builds on a previous joint UK-US workshop on Security in the Era of Global Semiconductor Initiatives, held in November 2023 in Washington DC, US. That workshop led to the publication of a report which outlines a strategic overview of current challenges and emergent opportunities in semiconductor security (see report at: ukrise.org).

The aim of this symposium is to revisit these recommendations, understand how we can take them forward, bringing together leading experts from industry, government, and academia in both the UK and the US. The symposium will facilitate in-depth discussions on critical research challenges to lay the groundwork for a possible collaborative research program between the US and UK.
