Wellcome Trust and Department of Health 'Alternatives to Antibiotics' (A2A) Working Party

Description

Successful consortium bid to prepare a commissioned report and review for the Trust/DoH on Alternatives to Antibiotics (A2A), this report is intended to inform policy and decision makers and contribute to the broader work on a 'One Health' antimicrobial resistance action plan. The audience for the ‘think piece’ (report and review) will in the first instance be policy makers and other decision makers and will be made reasonably accessible to non-scientists. It is also likely to be of interest to a broader audience. A distilled piece of the work is expected to be of peer review quality and targeted at publications with a broad readership currently submitted as a revised manuscript to Lancet Infectious Diseases. A high level summary of the findings, targeted at policy makers and opinion formers should be produced in parallel and contribute to the O'Neill AMR Report
