‘Worlds Apart? Human settlement and the biota of islands’ – Queen’s University Belfast and the Association of Environmental Archaeologists

I was one of four organisers of the annual Association for Environmental Archaeologists conference which was held in Queen’s University Belfast from the 24th-26th April 2003. Our application to host the Association’s annual conference was peer-reviewed by members of the AEA’s committee.The conference attracted major interest, with specialists from throughout Ireland, Britain, Europe, America and Australasia attending. The conference proceedings were published as a special volume of the journal Environmental Archaeology in autumn 2004.
