Description
As the Director of Young at Art, the charity behind the Belfast Children's Festival, Ali programmed the festival, coordinated all governance and fundraising and grew the organisation from annual participation of around 10,000 people per year to regular engagement of around 40,000 every year. This was achieved through the festival, attendant outreach and development programmes, touring, commissioning, collaborative and co-produced projects. In addition, she researched and established a social enterprise trading arm in 2010, Young at Art Events.
