Antidepressant and anti-anxiety medications increase risk of death in people with dementia

Description

A large study led by researchers from the School of Pharmacy and Centre for Public Health at Queen’s University has shown a slight increased risk of death in people with dementia who were prescribed antidepressant medications. The study also found a larger risk of death in those prescribed anti-anxiety medications.
