Description

Join million other kids and start your exciting computing journey with fun coding missions on paper or on the computer. The activities do not require any prior coding experience.

Build your own ‘hero’ using coding, and instruct him to complete fun missions. You will get access to short online videos explaining basic concepts of computational thinking and coding, that are essential for any future computer user and future scientist. The activities will be available for the following weeks, thus providing more opportunities for learning and training on more missions. The hero who completes a mission and an hour of code will receive a certificate of completion.

The virtual ‘hands-on’ activities are brought to you by Queen’s academic, parents and computer scientists and are part of the ‘Get Smarter’ initiative supported by the Royal Academy of Engineering and W5 discovery centre.  Participants will be informed about the future career opportunities on computing.

Follow the @GetSmarterNI initiative on Facebook or Twitter to keep informed about the opportunities
