As the Director of Education for Civil Engineering Dr Hamill provided leadership and support to the staff and studnets on the world record breaking “Meccano Big Bridge” project.  This was one of the biggest good news stories for the University in 2015/16. This story was carried on both BBC TV news and radio, was carried across 27 national and international newspapers and was broadcast live on SKY News.
