Music and Protest in Ireland

Press/Media: Expert Comment

Description

I served as an advisor for the 2024 RTÉ series Creedon's Musical Atlas of Ireland providing the producers and the presenter with contextual information and briefing calls on music and protest in Ireland. This was drawn from my 2020 monograph Sounding Dissent: Rebel Songs, Resistance, and Irish Republicanism. I was also filmed on location at the Magazine Fort in Phoenix Park, Dublin discussing the significance of rebel songs in Irish history with the presenter for episode 1.
