PhD Research Supports NIPANC's Partners in #TimeMatters Campaign

Press/Media: Public Engagement Activities

Description

Tara Anderson is one of four NIPANC supported PhD research students we are partnering with in collaboration with Queen's University Belfast.

Their work helps us get a better understanding of #PancreaticCancer; how it impacts individuals and families in NI and provides insight into how we can continuously improve services and support for those impacted.

The title of Tara’s PhD Exploring the Supportive Care Needs of Families Affected by Pancreatic Cancer: A Mixed-Methods Study puts quality of life at the heart of Tara’s work, and she is asking for your support.

She explained: “I am conducting a survey to gather information about the needs of those supporting someone with a pancreatic cancer diagnosis as well as the psychological impact that a loved one’s diagnosis may have. There could not be a better time to launch it than during NIPANC’s November #TimeMatters campaign during Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month #PCAM.”
