Public Nuisance and Freedom of Speech: Flags and Protests in Northern Ireland

Description

This blog post was written for the Human Rights in Ireland blog (humanrights.ie) in response to the flag protests in Northern Ireland.  The purpose of the post was to discuss the competing interests between the right to protest (freedom of speech) and the protection from the infringement of rights which are common to all.  In going so, the aim of the post was to explain the legal position in an accessible manner.
