Bullying in Pakistani Schools

The data presented in this research assess the impact of demographic characteristics on bullying and victimization experiences among high school students in the rural community. The data has been collected from six high schools in Jatli Rawalpindi, Pakistan. The data has been collected through face to face survey done at six schools. The data has been collected within classroom settings, after ensuring the confidentiality and assent of participants. The sample comprised of 381 students (197 boys, 184 girls) within age range 13-17 years. Bullying and Victimization scale (Urdu version) was used to assess three forms of bullying and victimization including Physical, Verbal and Indirect. The demographic sheet obtained the information about age, gender, grade, family system, birth order and number of friends. Some school related experiences about bullying (for example witness, occurrence, reporting). Data has been collected as part of student research project dealing with bullying and victimization in Pakistani schools.
