Abstract for published report: This report presents findings on specific aspects of the composition and employment of academic staff in the discipline of education in higher education (HE) across the UK and in each of the devolved nations: England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The findings are informed by analysing statistical data collected by HE institutions during the academic years 2015-16 to 2019-20, as reported to the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA).
