Datasets from NIMROD, RB1700022
Abstract: Cucurbit[n]urils (CB[n]s) are a class of macrocyclic molecules that have many applications in drug delivery, metal extraction, molecular switching, dye tuning and molecular recognition, and in supramolecular catalysis. However, one major challenge in CB[n] chemistry is their poor solubilities in a wide range of solvents. This work aims to explore why CB[n] macrocycles are much more soluble in deep eutectic solvents than they are in water in order to help develop new applications of these key macrocycles.
