Abstract: Phenols are widely used in industry, however, many phenolic compounds are endocrine-disruptors hazardous to human reproductive health and present a serious source of pollution and contamination of water. This proposed work will reveal information about the molecular interactions between ionic liquid cations and anions with phenol, which will help us to design new, potentially better materials for phenol extraction from water.
