Narrative

The documentary producer contacted me after reading my book 'Not Shakespeare' (2002) about Shakespeare in the 19th century. The producer drew upon my research in deciding the documentary content. As a historical adviser, I provided further knowledge about the period, provided source materials, and identified locations for film shoots. As an interviewee, I spoke about my research on Shakespeare in the 19th century and directed a scene from a 19th-c Shakespeare burlesque.
