Science Foundation Ireland FINTECHNEXT Case study
Ireland is already a global leader in Fintech R&D. Working together, the FINTECHNEXT partners are breaking new ground in the Fintech components of the digital economy, with a vision to contribute to regional development in Ireland by establishing the region as the ‘Silicon Valley’ of Fintech’. In Ireland for Finance:
The Strategy for the Development of Ireland’s International Financial Services Sector to 2025, prepared by the Department of Finance, FINTECHNEXT was spotlighted as an exemplary case study.

FINTECHNEXT PRESENTED TO THE EUROPEAN COMMISSIONER FOR FINANCIAL STABILITY, FINANCIAL SERVICES AND THE CAPITAL MARKETS UNION

On 30 September 2021, FINTECHNEXT met with the European Commissioner for Financial Stability, Financial Services and the Capital Markets Union, Mairead McGuinness, at the Fexco Research and Development facility and RDI Hub at The John McCarthy Building in Killorglin, Co. Kerry, during her first official visit in Ireland. The FINTECHNEXT team members gave a presentation – both in-person and virtually – on the team’s research and scientific progress, which was followed by engaging and insightful conversations, with the Commissioner’s huge interest in furthering the discussions in to the future.

Little Book of Irish Research by Science Foundation Ireland

Research for this book has been selected, in part, to respond to the questions raised by the Irish public in the Creating Our Future project. This book will be used to create awareness of Irish research in society as well as being shared around the world to promote Ireland as a great destination in which to work and make discoveries.

The strategy for the development of Ireland’s international financial services sector, extended to 2026.

The Ireland for Finance strategy has been updated to reflect developments since the initial launch of the strategy. The whole-of-government strategy is focused on a set of specific and targeted themes with a lifetime that spans out to the end of 2026.
