This project involved the delivery and evaluation of the first bespoke therapeutic counselling programme for victims of sexual violence who have a learning disability. The project also worked collaboratively with the police service, Public Prosecution Service and Positive Futures to develop a guide to the justice process for people with learning disabilities and a Just Us card to assist police and other professionals who are engaging with people with learning disabilities who have communication or support needs. Training has also been delivered to the police and health and social care professionals to develop awareness of the needs of victims of sexual violence who have a learning disability.
