This professional production of Davenant's Macbeth at the Folger Theatre arises from a scholar-ariist 'laboratory' that I am co-directing as part of the AHRC project Performing Restoration Shakespeare. The immediate impact is that a major professional theatre in the United States has changed its season planning to include a production of a Restoration version of Shakespeare. Future impact will be the effect of this production upon the artists in rehearsal (August 2018) and the audiences who attend the production (September 2018).Impact status | Ongoing |
