Narrative
In association with my research project 'Performing Restoration Shakespeare', I directed a scholar-artist workshop on 'The Tempest' that involved professional actors, professional musicians and staff from Shakespeare's Globe. I directed the actors in scenes that were performed before a paying audience in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse at the Globe. These performances introduced actors, musicians and audiences to a new theatrical repertoire, and interpreted it for them, thus enhancing their collective understanding of Shakespeare's theatrical afterlife.
