Organisation profile

The Centre for Inclusion Transformation and Equality (CITE) engages in cross-disciplinary research that highlights issues of inequality but also develops understanding of how to promote inclusion and social justice in a range of contexts.  Our research addresses a diverse range of research areas  that examine critical perspectives on ageing, disability, mental health, gender, education, decoloniality and minoritised groups.CITE works in close partnership with statutory, voluntary and community organisations locally and with global partners to generate research with local and global impact. We also work collaboratively with children, young people and adults connected to engage people with lived experience in co-producing our research and ensure our work addresses real world need and informs social change. The  Centre also hosts the cross-Faculty Disability Research Network at QUB and ARK, Northern Ireland’s social policy hub. Further details are available at: ARK.
