Research Focus

An engineer graduated with MSc Electonics from Queen's University Belfast. During his masters, he studied and analysed MEMS oscillator deeply and worked on methods to improve its quality factor. During PhD, he is working on Silicon Carbide (SiC) based MEMS sensor. SiC is know for its excellent mechanical, electrical and thermal properties which makes it suitable for high performance MEMS devices. But manufacturing SiC presents challenges such as selecting suitable masking material, etching passivation, packaging and integration. His current research focuses on design and manufacturing of SiC based inertial sensor which are suitable for commercial applications.
