Dr Ahmad Elkhateb is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Power Electronics at Queen's University Belfast. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), Senior Member of the IEEE (SMIEEE), Full College Member of the EPSRC and Associate Editor for the IEEE Access, and the IET Power Electronics.

Dr Elkhateb's research interests span several areas in Power Electronics, including microgrid, distributed energy generation, grid integration, and DC-to-DC converters for Electric Vehicles. He is responsible for developing the Power Electronics research theme, promoting it for undergraduate teaching and postgraduate research within the Energy Power and Intelligent Control EPIC Research Centre.

Our research activities include modelling, analysis, design and control of power converters to meet the challenging requirements of high efficiency, compact size, power rating and system integration with the minimum number of components.

He also developed a full year course in Power Electronics and Motor Drives.
