Research Focus

I am a PhD Candidate in Environmental Planning at Queen’s University Belfast, focused on sustainability and the energy transition.

My doctoral research explores how energy policy and historical legacies shape the shift to low-carbon electricity systems in Canada and Northern Ireland. This work was supported by the EU-funded MISTRAL Innovative Training Network.

Research Interests

Renewable energy; energy policy; marine renewable energy; environmental governance; coastal community development; climate change adaptation; water security; environmental politics.
