Research Focus
As Deputy Director of Queen's Communities and Place (QCAP) at Queen's University Belfast, I lead the Social Economy and Community Wealth Building dimension, leveraging my established track record in high-impact research on urban regeneration, social enterprise development, finance, peace-building, and community development. My career is marked by successful collaborations with key government bodies and community partners, including The Executive Office, The Strategic Investment Board, and various departments, translating academic insights into actionable policies that enhance community well-being. This innovative approach to engaged scholarship has earned national recognition, including a nomination as a finalist in the Future Innovator category at the Innovate UK KTP awards 2020, underscoring my commitment to driving meaningful change through research that bridges academic excellence with real-world community impact.
